PHP Scripts

The following scripts are freeware, do what you will with them.

More scripts will be added soon, I just have to change a few things on them to make them easier for anyone to configure.

Choonstats 0.95

This application utilises the SZTracker Winamp Plugin to store and display music that has been played on your computer. It features a basic last 10 tracks played, top 10 artists and top 10 tracks. I made this script because audioscrobbler.com has been down quite a bit lately and thought I’d make an alternative. This is in it’s early stages and some of the features I plan to implement soon include easy installer to create your tables, and chage the colours, multiple users and an archiving feature. Look to the left for a demo of the simple last 10 tracks layout and click here for a look at the stats page.

Version 0.95 Changes adds A new column to the last 50 tracks played table, displaying how long ago the track was played.

Basic Weather Script 1.0

The XML Parser Code is based off a tutorial on www.sitepoint.com (cheers :P )
I made this script because I couldn’t find a nice basic weather script displaying the absolute
basic weather info, all the other ones I found had features galore and that’s not what
I was looking for. This script simply displays the location, the current temp, the max temp for
that day, the min temp, and an image and text displaying the conditions (cloudy fine, you know). In order to use this script you need to signup to the weather.com XML feed service at http://www.weather.com/services/xmloap.html and also download the SDK from the same location. In the near future I will be adding MySQL functionality to make page loading faster. You can see the script working on the left of this page.

Pretty Directory Browser

This is a tidy little script that can be used to replace the default Apache or IIS directory browsing layout. It uses floating divs to laout the files similar to how it would on any window in Windows XP or Mac OS X, it features file type specific icons and folders. It also has a basic built in navigation, back forward and parent directory. It’s PHP code was not created by me, it’s a standard directory listing code found as an example at www.php.net/opendir. It’s main feature is the dynamic div layout and simple navigation. To use, simple place the index.php file, style.css file and images folder into the directory you want to browse. The script will disregard these files when browsing the directory. Simple! Make sure you don’t have any openbasedir restrictions on your server.
