Quiet Times and a directory browser.

Not much going on at the moment, getting into the swing of things and looking for work in the big smoke (Melbourne). I’m totally happy with my moblog script, works just how I want it to. I’m going to adapt it soon and release it, I’ll also make it usable via a standard Picture of the Week script where the info can be sent from any computer to a specified email address rather than optimised for a MMS style layout. On top of that I’ve added a directory browsing script that displays like any Windows or Mac OS icon layout, which arranges it self to fit nicely to any size using floating divs. Nothing special really, but I think there’s a few people who would like to do away with the Apache or IIS layout and be able to display files in a better way. I use the same script at my Workplace on the intranet using an iframe and it works brilliantly.

Oh and I can’t stop playing Battlefield 2, it’s way too much fun. Just need a nicer computer so I can make it look like it’s supposed to.

It’s a Phase.

I promise you this whole Guns n Roses thing is a small phase, I will be over it ASAP. Choonstats

Back to work again, probably a good thing I was starting to get rather bored.

Ross Noble at the Athaneam Sauna
Posted on: April 11th, 2005 at 1:00am By: Sebconn

Went to see Ross Noble last night at the Athaneam theatre. Was a bloody funny 2 hours. You know you’ve got your moneys worth when your getting sore from laughing so much.

It’s the first time I’ve seen a single comedy act and it baffles me how one person can babble on for 2 hours and make people laugh their heads off constantly. He seemed to not really have much set material at all, just went off on tangents for half an hour and before you knew it it was over. The crazy thing is though he would never forget about the original story that he branched from. Oh and the theatre was unbelievably hot, and of course Ross Noble used that as a starting point for the night. Someone in the crowd suggested they were heating upp the theatre for Puppetry of the Penis which was on afterwards.

All round though a very funny show, and for the third time in 3 years I’m wishing I went to more comedy festival gigs. Oh well, there’s always next year.

Things are getting boring.

Thought I better post something since it’s been a while. No point really posting anything if nothing is happening though.

Was in town (Geelong town) tonight for a few beers, was a good night and a bad night to be in Geelong’s CBD, it’s O’week for the uni students so all the pubs are crawling with people who can’t old their alcohol at the best of times. Found ourselves locked up in the Preston surrounded by the O’week types, was good for a laugh. It did dawn on me though that I have reached the age where I am too old to mingle in with the O’week stuff like I did when my mates were at Uni, kind of depressing really. That quickly went away when I was walking past the vomiting masses when heading home.

Oh and a new fan dangle script on the left there show’s what music I’m playing while I’m at work and on my computer, coolness.
