It’s getting busy

Farkenel December is busy. At work and home, I spend too much cash on beer and whatnot, then have bugger all money for christmas presents. Then I ponder too much about what to do on the most overated night of the year, everyone knows you always have a better damn time when you DON’T have anything dramatic planned, unless you go to Falls, but I’m not, so there. I have to buy my Big Day Out Ticket soon before they sellout, I’m not super impressed with the lineup but I always go anyway. Work is full of plenty of repetitive DVD burning that drives me completely insane. Hmm what else is there while I’m on my rant…oooh oooh BLOODY clothes….I’m running out, man I hate buying clothes…rant over.

Starting to get sick of Ubuntu now, I want my games back, so I’ll be reformatting this week methinks.

I think I’m going to start drinking more red rather than beer, doubt that will last long.

You see This right here is why I’m slightly hesitant to overclock my hardware paid for with my hard earned cash, of course this was intentional, but I’ll use it as my reason anyway

IR Reform Rally
Posted on: November 16th, 2005 at 5:16pm By: Sebconn

IR RallyI went on strike for the first time today, to support action against lil Johnny’s new Industrial Relations proposed legislation. Lots of angry people were there, I’m afraid I can’t get that angry about it, but I’m definitely against it. It was the rally in Geelong and it’s thought 30000 people rocked up. But the unions will claim there were 100 million people at the Geelong one, and 100 thousand billion at the Melbourne one. Managed to make the front page of the Geelong Advertiser, kinda my own version of Where’s Wally. Can you spot me? hmm might be hard.

Here’s a cool pic showing China’s development over the last 10 years, rather impressive.

XHTML and Broken knees
Posted on: October 13th, 2005 at 11:01pm By: Sebconn

I’ve been working on a new layout for my work’s site this week, I’m getting better and better at nice XHTML & CSS layouts. It’s a rather basic looking layout but very functional. Heres a sneak peak. It I really like this style of layout, putting all the relevent info on the one screen, and it spaces it out very nicely. I so wish I could use full transparent PNGs with this to make it easier for content over the space to the right of the latest gallery picture, I still might but I have to use javascript so that IE can actually do it properly, which I don’t like doing too much. The site adapts to all resolutions very well and the only large image is the background, which is a very low quality jpeg, not weighing in at more than 20k, considering the super small size of the rest of the page, it’s quite good.

On another note, my kneecap popped out of place again this afternoon, the second time that has happened. All I can say is ow, it’s so damn painful, now I have to limp to the fridge to get my beers, damn shame that.
